Introduction

Positions: 3 or 4  (depending on recruitment of internal candidates)

Holiday: Days holiday inc bank holiday 36 days total  (28 holiday plus 8 bank holidays)

We also offer flexible working hours around a core set of hours which will enable agents take a max of 2 extra days (or 4 half days) per four weeks by making up the time on other days during that period

As part of the Client’s continuing development, Exchequer Services Division was created in October 2015.

Part of the rationale for this was to bring together income & debt functions and to create a single assessment & transactional service area.

The Service consists of a number of sections, Income Operations being one of the main operational delivery units.

The role of the Senior Revenues Enforcement Officer (Enforcement Agent) is to support the Operations Manager in the development of the Enforcement Agent service.

 

The Role

The main aspect of the role will be to act as an certificated Enforcement Agent in the Taking Control of Goods within the  Exchequer services in respect of debts owed to the Council and levy and enforce collection of statutory fees.

The role is specialist and the post holder is required to hold the Taking Control of Goods qualification Level II and be certificated to operate as an Enforcement Agent by the court.

The Certificated Enforcement Agent must have relevant experience of enforcing Warrants of Control in the Enforcement environment.

 

The post holder will have specialist enforcement knowledge and may be required to provide advice and training to Revenues Officers, trainees and apprentices on enforcement through the Taking Control of Goods regulations.
